Please read these terms before you use School Bus.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you use School Bus, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

School Bus lets schools run bus routes, lets drivers record trips, and lets parents follow the bus of their children. The service includes a mobile app and a web app.

3. Fees and Plan Access

Parents need a school pass to see the live bus view. The school chooses who pays. The price for each parent for each month is set in the school plan. The app shows the amount on each invoice.

• Parent pays: each parent pays for their own pass. A new parent gets three free days with full access, once for each phone number.
• School pays: the school pays for all linked parents. Parents then pay nothing for the live view.
• Due date and grace: an invoice has a due date. Access continues during the grace days that the app states. After that, the live view stops until the invoice is paid. A late payment still covers the whole month.
• Expired access: when a pass ends, the parent can ask for a new invoice in the app. Drivers and school staff keep their access.
• School hold: if a school does not pay its invoice, the live view can stop for the parents that the school covers. It starts again after payment.

You pay outside the app, through the payment page sent by SMS. The app does not take payments. We may change the price or the payer mode for a later month. We will show the change in the app first. Ask your school or write to us about a payment problem or a refund. We do not promise a refund.

4. User Accounts

Staff, drivers and parents use different accounts. You need a phone number and a PIN. Keep your PIN private and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Parents join a school only with the phone number the school has on file.

5. User Content

Schools enter student, route and bus records. The school must have the right to enter this data and must keep it correct. You keep the rights to your content. You allow us to use it to run the service.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the service. This includes:

• Using another person's account.
• Entering false or harmful data.
• Trying to break, overload or bypass the service.
• Using the service for an unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

The service, its design and its software belong to BrightPen OPC or its licensors. These terms give you a limited right to use the service. They do not give you any ownership.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

We provide the service as it is. The bus location, stop times and alerts are a guide. They can be late, wrong or missing, for example when a phone has no signal or a driver does not use the app. They are not a safety guarantee. Do not rely on them in an emergency. We do not promise that the service will run without errors or breaks.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, BrightPen OPC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss that comes from reliance on the live location, stop times or alerts. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend BrightPen OPC against claims that come from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account in the app. Some records can remain, as the privacy policy explains.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may change these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do. If you keep using the service, you accept the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms follow the laws of India. The courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
